Go to the official Microsoft Power BI website (powerbi.microsoft.com).
Navigate to the "Downloads" section.
Choose the appropriate version (Windows 64-bit or Windows 32-bit) and click on the "Download" button.
Run the Installer:
Once the download is complete, run the installer file (typically named something like "PBIDesktopSetup.exe").
Accept License Agreement:
Read and accept the license agreement to proceed with the installation.
Choose Installation Options:
Select the installation location for Power BI Desktop.
Optionally, you can choose to install sample content and associate file types with Power BI Desktop.
Install Power BI Desktop:
Click on the "Install" button to begin the installation process.
The installer will extract and install Power BI Desktop on your system.
Launch Power BI Desktop:
Once the installation is complete, you can launch Power BI Desktop from the Start menu or by double-clicking the desktop shortcut.
Sign In (Optional):
Upon launching Power BI Desktop, you may be prompted to sign in with your Microsoft account or organizational account. Signing in enables additional features and access to Power BI Service.
Start Using Power BI Desktop:
After signing in (if applicable), you can start creating reports, connecting to data sources, and building visualizations in Power BI Desktop.
