Center Line Command in AutoCAD

The center line command in AutoCAD is used to create centerlines, which are used to represent the center of circles, arcs, or symmetrical objects in a drawing. Centerlines are typically used in technical drawings to show axes of symmetry or the center of circular features.

To use the center line command:

  1. Type CENTERLINE in the command line or select the "Centerline" tool from the ribbon.
  2. Click to select the first point of the centerline, such as the center of a circle or arc.
  3. Click again to define the second point or direction of the centerline.
  4. The centerline will be placed, showing the axis of symmetry or center of the selected geometry.

The center line command helps to clearly represent the axes of symmetry and centers of objects in technical drawings, improving the clarity and accuracy of your design.
