Radius Command in AutoCAD

The radius command in AutoCAD is used to create or measure the radius of a circle or arc. The radius is the distance from the center of the circle or arc to any point along its circumference. This command is essential for defining circular geometry and for precise measurements in designs involving circles or arcs.

To use the radius command:

  1. To create a circle with a specific radius, type CIRCLE in the command line, then specify the center point and enter the desired radius.
  2. To measure the radius of an existing circle or arc, type DIMRADIAL in the command line and select the circle or arc. The radius will be displayed in the dimension text.

The radius command is useful for working with circular shapes and ensuring accurate geometric measurements in AutoCAD.
