Extend Command in AutoCAD

The extend command in AutoCAD is used to lengthen objects to meet the edges of other objects. It helps in connecting lines, arcs, or other objects to a boundary defined by one or more objects.

To use the extend command:

  1. Type EX or EXTEND in the command line.
  2. Select the boundary edges that will serve as the extension limits.
  3. Press Enter to confirm the selection of boundary edges.
  4. Select the objects you want to extend.
  5. Press Enter again to complete the command.

This command is useful for adjusting object lengths to precisely align with defined boundaries in the drawing.
