Diameter Command in AutoCAD

The diameter command in AutoCAD is used to create or measure the diameter of a circle or arc. The diameter is the total distance across the circle, passing through its center, and is twice the radius. This command is helpful for working with circular geometry and obtaining accurate size measurements for circles and arcs.

To use the diameter command:

  1. To create a circle with a specific diameter, type CIRCLE in the command line, specify the center point, and then enter the desired diameter.
  2. To measure the diameter of an existing circle or arc, type DIMDIAMETER in the command line and select the circle or arc. The diameter will be displayed in the dimension text.

The diameter command is essential for accurately defining and dimensioning circular shapes in your AutoCAD drawings.
