Leader Command in AutoCAD

The Leader command in AutoCAD is used to create leader lines that connect a specific point in a drawing to a text note or annotation. Leaders are commonly used to call out specific details, provide explanations, or point to an object or feature in the drawing.

To use the leader command:

  1. Type LEADER in the command line or select the "Leader" tool from the annotation section of the ribbon.
  2. Click the point in the drawing where you want the leader line to start.
  3. Drag the leader line to the location where you want the text or annotation to appear.
  4. Enter the text for the leader line and press Enter.

The Leader command is useful for adding detailed explanations and making annotations in technical drawings, helping to clearly indicate specific areas or objects in the drawing.
