Scale Command in AutoCAD

The scale command in AutoCAD is used to resize objects in a drawing. It changes the size of selected objects while maintaining their proportions. You can scale objects by a specified factor, either by reference (using an example distance) or by specifying a scale factor. The command allows for both uniform scaling (same factor in all directions) and non-uniform scaling (different factors in different directions).

To use the scale command:

  1. Type SC or SCALE in the command line.
  2. Select the objects you want to scale.
  3. Choose a base point, which will remain fixed while the rest of the objects scale.
  4. Enter a scale factor or specify a reference.
